Service Alert: Saturday, September 19 Event Detours

Sun Metro riders should plan for temporary detours and delays on Saturday, September 19, due to the El Paso Matters 9.15K and UMC 5K.
Downtown/Central Routes | 7:30–10 a.m.
Riders traveling through Downtown and Central El Paso should expect temporary route detours throughout area. Sun Metro service will be unable to access Santa Fe, Franklin, Kansas, Campbell, Arizona, Montana, Yandell and Rio Grande while event-related street closures are in place.
Route 7 | 7:30–9 a.m.
Route 7 will be temporarily detoured during the event. Riders will not be able to access EPCC Northeast Campus or stops along Kenworthy during this time. Service to the Walmart on Transmountain will remain available.
Courtesy Stops & Delays
While buses are operating on detour, courtesy stops will be available along the detoured route where it is safe and accessible for the bus to stop. Riders should expect delays, plan ahead and allow additional travel time throughout the morning. Regular service will resume as event-related street closures are lifted.
